Nelson Lee

Nelson is a HR veteran with regional HR experience gained in the hotel, service, electronics, semiconductor, consulting, environmental, construction, transportation, motor/automotive, property, hospitality, engineering, industrial/heavy equipment, plantation/oil, insurance and bedding industries. He is recognised as a “Leading HR Leader” in the SHRI HR Awards 2010.

He was on the Board of the National Community Leadership Institute (part of the People’s Association, a government statutory board) as well as appointed to serve on the then- Workforce Development Agency Training and Adult Education Skills Council. In the past, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of 6 Sime Darby companies – Sime Darby Eastern International Ltd, Sime Darby Management Services (S) Pte Ltd, Sime Darby Plantation Europe, Sime Darby Edible Products Ltd, Sime Darby Plantation Investment (Liberia) Pte Ltd and Kwang Joo Seng (M) Pte Ltd.

He held varied roles, was the Founding CEO of the Institute of HR Professionals, a company setup by the Tripartite Partners, MOM, NTUC and SNEF; was the Chief HR Officer for a not-for- profit Regional Organisation; was the Regional HR Head for Sime Darby, overseeing the HR function of all the 6 business Divisions (Motors, Industrial, Property, Engineering, Plantation and Allied Product Services) in Singapore, specific business Divisions in Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Hong Kong; was the first Group HR Director of the largest privately-owned car distributorship in Singapore, overseeing the HR in Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and China. He started his career in the Union as an Industrial Relations Officer and was appointed to the Union’s Executive Committee.

Currently he is the CEO of Eliteus Pte Ltd, a boutique Training and HR Consultancy, to groom and mentor the next generation of HR professionals, to be a “better” HR.

Anne Go

Anne is a Human Resource Practitioner, Training Consultant and certified Counsellor. She has more than two decades of experiences spanning across Sales and Marketing, Corporate Services (Customer Management, Organization Development, Procurement and Internal Audit), Planning and Human Resources in both public service and private sectors in the electronics, semiconductor, consulting, transportation, engineering and services industries.

In the span of her career, Anne had led in Strategic Workforce Planning and Transformation within the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). During her last stint at MOM, Anne headed the Corporate Services, Corporate Planning, Organization & Learning Development teams within Occupational Safety and Health Division. She believes in creating values, challenging status quo and ideating solutions to meet both individual and organizational goals. Among the successful implementation of initiatives, Anne has helped the organizations to develop new or redesign human resources frameworks, curated change management process to increase quality, customized training programs, streamlined and digitalized HR processes. 

Because of her strong desire to help others in developing their life resilience, Anne embraces the beliefs that people can achieve their goals, finds joy and breakthroughs even in rough times by changing perspectives. As a Counsellor, Anne provides psychosocial intervention and counselling by integrating expressive modalities in the different therapeutic approaches to supporting people in need by helping them to overcome life challenges and build deeper sense of resilience to pursue their personal dreams and goals. She upholds the importance of caring for an individual’s mental and emotional health and trusts that every person can overcome turmoil of their life with guided help and support from her professional skills.

Other than involving in professional works, Anne is active and believes in being socially responsible. She commits her time in doing community work and is currently serving as a management committee member at Lighthouse School. She was previously appointed as Chair of Human Resource Sub-Committee with the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH).

This workshop helps participants to explore the M.I.N.D. methods of developing resilience and derive a self-care plan to keep physically and mentally fit.

NURTURE POSITIVENESS IN PARENTING

Nurturing positiveness in parenting is a transformative approach that goes beyond traditional child-rearing methods. Positive parenting involves cultivating a supportive and warm environment for children, proactive teaching, inductive discipline, and positive involvement. 

Research indicates that positive parenting contributes to various aspects of a child’s well-being, including academic success, social-emotional development, and behavioral outcomes. Studies even suggest that it plays a crucial role in protecting children from the adverse effects of stress, promoting healthy brain development, and fostering resilience.

This workshop helps participants to explore 3 key parenting techniques of developing resilience and guide children towards positive behavior.
